The moment the first cube started ticking, Moira Rand knew there was no turning back. She had officially committed to the delightful chaos of writing mystery books for young readers, and building an entire fictional world held together by cogs, jam, and questionable decisions.

Moira didn’t plan to become an author. In fact, she was just trying to survive a house filled with reluctant readers and a coffee machine that wheezes like a dying walrus. But after scrolling through what felt like eight million “top ten books for kids” lists and hearing the words “Boring,” “Nope,” and “I’d rather clean the fridge” one too many times, she decided to write something herself. Something weird, funny, and just a little bit explosive.

Enter: The Tangle & Trouble Mysteries.
A series full of smart girls, reluctant boy-geniuses, suspicious cubes, mysterious vaults, and one heroic dog named Stubby who may or may not be emotionally attached to sausage rolls.

This blog will be the behind-the-scenes archive of everything from secret character trivia and writing disasters, to sneak peeks, reader shout-outs, and the occasional confession about baking gone wrong. (Because if Marlowe can accidentally set fire to a science wing with a jam tart, so can we all.)
